Operational Efficiency in Hospital Command Centers under Predictive Analytics Adoption and Behavioral Adherence

The contemporary healthcare landscape faces unprecedented challenges in resource allocation, patient throughput, and operational optimization. In response, healthcare institutions have increasingly invested in hospital command centers equipped with advanced predictive analytics capabilities. Despite substantial technological investments, the anticipated gains in operational efficiency are frequently inconsistent, suggesting a critical gap in the translation of analytical insights into operational outcomes. This research investigates the mechanisms through which predictive analytics adoption influences hospital operational efficiency, positing behavioral adherence as a critical mediating variable. Drawing upon technology acceptance theories and organizational behavior paradigms, this study conceptualizes how command center staff process, trust, and ultimately act upon algorithmically generated recommendations. A comprehensive research design is employed, analyzing objective operational metrics alongside psychometric assessments of command center personnel. The findings demonstrate that while predictive analytics adoption establishes the foundational capacity for efficiency improvements, the actual realization of these benefits is entirely contingent upon high levels of behavioral adherence among healthcare professionals. By elucidating the socio-technical dynamics within hospital command centers, this paper provides critical insights for healthcare administrators and system designers, emphasizing that operational excellence requires equal attention to technological deployment and the cultivation of human compliance protocols.References
